About Us
Meet Nicole and Michael Cisneros, owners of Michael Cisneros Fine Jewelry.
Meet Michael Cisneros, a gemstone cutter, jeweler, and a GIA Graduate Gemologist.
Michael is an entrepreneur with a diverse background in various industries. In 2001, he started his first business at the age of 17, making and selling handmade crocheted hats. This business required him to design new color patterns for hat designs, create catalogs, and handle sales and manufacturing, which led him to develop skills in management and marketing. After buying a camera to help make catalogs, Michael quickly discovered his passion for photography, and by 2007, he was working as a professional photographer and had his work published in multiple fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle magazines. Michael's photography skills led him to expand into videography, where he produced a variety of content including music videos for Billboard 100 artists. He also has experience working as a custom picture framer and fine art restorer, honing his skills in attention to detail and craftsmanship.
In 2016, Michael started courses at the Gemological Institute of America where he studied colored gemstones, diamonds, pearls, and gemology. Michael is a seasoned gem cutter, who specializes in cutting gemstones from rough material as well as gemstone repair and repolishing. His commitment to sustainability and conservation is demonstrated in his efforts to salvage gemstones from jewelry that is being scrapped for its precious metals, giving these precious stones a new life by recutting damaged gems and using them to create new jewelry.
